McCall & Associates and one of their primary MEP Engineering partners, Cleary-Zimmermann, were hired by the USDA/ARS to perform Level 1 ASHRAE Energy Audits at 3 of their research facilities: Lubbock, Texas; Bushland, Texas; and Woodward, Oklahoma. Each facility was thoroughly examined and studied in accordance with each aspect of the Level 1 energy audit and a complete report prepared that identified and recommended energy savings items which were both short- and long-term investments to increase their percentages of energy reduction as required by the mandates of EISA 2007. All aspects of the facility were explored including MEP systems, control systems, building management systems, and building envelope systems. All results and recommendations were charted in a format that provided the Client with easily discernable information to be used in planning maintenance and capital improvement projects to address their energy consuption needs.
